On 04.12.2025, Budakov Films organized an additional workshop titled “AI-Driven Creativity: From Concept to Impact”, hosted by Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. The session was conducted by Chief Assistant Professor Yordan Karapenchev, PhD, and focused on presenting and discussing the finalized results of the Erasmus+ co-funded project Navigating AI.

Context and Objectives

The Navigating AI project has aimed to empower professionals, educators, and innovators across Europe to understand, adapt to, and responsibly implement artificial intelligence in their professional domains. Supported by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, the project has developed a set of innovative tools and training materials that help bridge the gap between AI technology, creativity, and ethical practice.

The workshop in Sofia was organized in addition to the planned project activities, as a response to the strong interest and engagement expressed by our growing community. The event served as both a dissemination and reflection platform — ensuring that all valuable feedback, ideas, and good practices gathered during the project’s lifetime were effectively integrated into the final outputs.

Focus: Activity 2 – Producing the Training Program “AI-Driven Creativity: Advanced Training for Digital Innovators”

A central focus of the workshop was Activity 2, which centered on the creation of the training program “AI-Driven Creativity: Advanced Training for Digital Innovators.” This program is one of the project’s key results and provides a comprehensive framework for understanding how AI technologies can be integrated into creative and digital sectors in a responsible and innovative manner.

During the session, participants explored several key dimensions of the training package, including:

  • Pedagogical design and structure of the training program;

  • Practical modules addressing AI in creative processes, digital storytelling, and design thinking;

  • Ethical and regulatory considerations, particularly in light of the upcoming EU AI Act;

  • Strategies for applying AI tools to enhance creativity, productivity, and collaboration;

  • Assessment and evaluation methods for measuring digital and AI competencies.

The training program aims to strengthen participants’ understanding of AI’s transformative potential while fostering critical awareness of its risks and societal implications. Through this, Navigating AI supports a balanced approach to digital innovation — one that values transparency, inclusivity, and human-centered design.

Event Highlights

The workshop gathered 36 participants, including university students, researchers, educators, and creative professionals. Their active engagement and meaningful contributions reflected the high level of interest in the project’s outcomes and the relevance of its themes in today’s digital landscape.

The session included interactive discussions, short presentations, and group reflections on how the developed training resources could be implemented in educational and professional contexts. Participants shared examples of AI use in creative industries, challenges in adopting AI responsibly, and ideas for extending the Navigating AI training package beyond academia.

Impact and Next Steps

The event confirmed the growing importance of AI literacy and ethical awareness in all sectors — especially those at the intersection of technology, creativity, and innovation. The participants’ insights provided valuable input for refining the project’s outputs and for enhancing their long-term sustainability and applicability.

Budakov Films, as a member of the Navigating AI consortium, remains committed to fostering collaboration between education, research, and industry. By organizing additional dissemination activities like this workshop, the team aims to expand the project’s outreach and impact, ensuring that its results continue to inspire professionals and educators across Europe.
