On January 27th, the first online Kick-off Meeting for the Erasmus+ co-funded project Navigating AI Regulations: A Practical Guide (Project No: 2024-2-DE02-KA210-VET-000287096) took place, marking an important milestone in the initiative. The project, designed to equip trainers and freelancers in the creative industry with AI knowledge, digital skills, and EU policy awareness, brings together two dedicated partners—INI-Novation GmbH and Budakov Films. With a strong focus on AI regulations, particularly the AI Act, this initiative aims to foster responsible AI adoption, compliance, and digital transformation in the creative sector.
The Kick-off Meeting, moderated by INI-Novation GmbH as the project lead, was highly productive and set the foundation for a structured and collaborative implementation. Both partners engaged in detailed discussions on key aspects such as Project Management, the Dissemination Plan, and the Quality Assurance Plan, ensuring a solid framework for achieving project goals effectively. A central focus was placed on the three core activities of the project:
- Activity 1: Establishing Training Scope and EQF Level 3 Alignment – This phase will define the training program structure, ensuring it aligns with recognized educational standards and equips participants with practical competencies related to AI regulations.
- Activity 2: Producing the Training Program “AI-Driven Creativity: Advanced Training for Digital Innovators” – A tailored training program will be developed, featuring structured modules and instructional videos that address AI regulations, risk management, compliance, transparency, and data governance within the creative industry.
- Activity 3: Hands-On Training and Community Engagement – Practical workshops and interactive events will be conducted to actively involve trainers, freelancers, and local stakeholders in applying AI knowledge effectively.
An essential discussion revolved around how each partner could bring specific contributions to ensure the project’s success, leveraging their respective expertise and networks. INI-Novation GmbH, with its strong background in digital innovation and AI regulatory frameworks, will play a key role in structuring the training content, while Budakov Films, renowned for its experience in digital creativity and educational content production, will lead the development of engaging learning materials. The partners also explored strategies to enhance impact through their local networks, maximize outreach efforts, and establish clear metrics for monitoring progress and effectiveness. By defining key performance indicators, the project ensures ongoing assessment and adaptation, guaranteeing that its results are both measurable and sustainable.
The meeting highlighted the strong synergy between INI-Novation GmbH and Budakov Films, whose complementary strengths align perfectly with Erasmus+ priorities—promoting digital skills, enhancing AI literacy, and ensuring compliance with EU regulations. This partnership embodies the essence of collaboration, innovation, and knowledge-sharing, setting a precedent for impactful AI education within the creative industry.
With a clear roadmap ahead, the Navigating AI Regulations: A Practical Guide project is poised for success. The Kick-off Meeting provided a dynamic start, reaffirming the partners’ commitment to equipping creative professionals with the tools needed to navigate AI regulations effectively. As the project unfolds, its activities will serve as a valuable resource for fostering AI-driven innovation while ensuring ethical and legal compliance across the creative sector.
